Overstimulated, Leading Yourself When Life Feels Too Loud
A grounded, honest talk about leadership, pressure and self-trust, drawing on my corporate experience, career leap of faith, business building reality, ADHD diagnosis at 40 and the juggle of modern life.
Grounded. Human. Relevant.
Corporate life: pressure, performance and responsibility
The leap of faith: stepping away from certainty into the unknown
Building a business when the reality isn’t linear (or tidy)
ADHD, overstimulation and decision fatigue in leadership
Confidence, identity and self-trust during change
Juggling ambition, motherhood and the emotional load
What this conversation explores
Why this perspective lands
I don’t speak from theory alone. I’ve lived the corporate world, led through growth and change, stepped away from security, and built something new, all whilst navigating ADHD, family life and the invisible pressure many people carry quietly.
My talks are designed to feel human and useful, less performance, more perspective and with insights people can actually take back into how they lead, decide and show up.
My speaking experience spans corporate conferences, leadership events and academic panels, with audiences ranging from intimate groups to large-scale rooms.
Speaking experience includes:
Delivering talks at national and regional conferences, speaking to audiences of 100–600 people
Co-presenting conference sessions, sharing the stage and leading joint discussions with senior leaders
Speaking at women’s leadership and professional networks, including events with audiences of 100+
Contributing as a panel speaker at the University of Birmingham, sharing insight through facilitated discussion
Facilitating and hosting online conversations and podcasts, both live and pre-recorded, bringing structure, warmth and clarity to discussions
Confidently holding space in virtual settings, ensuring conversations flow, voices are heard and key messages land
Keynote (in person or online)
Fireside style talk + facilitated audience Q&A
Panel guest (leadership, confidence, change, modern work)
